How long does it take to have a web site designed?

The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and how long it takes you to gather and organize the content for your web site.  Once we have received all of the content, we can normally have a web site ready to go "live" within a week

What material do I need to supply to get the job going ?

To get the job rolling, we need to know first, what all you would like included in your website. Second, you will need to supply us with any photos you would like included, as well as the text, as you would like it to read on your site. We recommend that you simply email the text to us either in the body of an email or in an MS Word format. Photos and images can also be emailed, or supplied post.

How do I go about adding things and updating my site?

In addition to designing and building websites, we also maintain many websites. For those who will need updates and additions made each month, we suggest arranging a maintenance contract with Ebustech. By doing so, we can give you our rock-bottom labor rate. For those who simply need additions or updates made every few months, or may only require an hour or so each month, we offer our service at $50.00 per page

What is web hosting?

Web hosting is a monthly or annual fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. With all our packages web hosting is provided for 1 year by us. After 1 year you will be sent a renewal notice to keep your site on the internet (usually about $70), depending on your package.

What is a URL (domain name) ?

It stands for "universal resource locator." This is the address typed in to view your web page on the Internet. For example, you would type in http://www.ebustecy.com.au to access our home page. A domain name is included with all our packages, and will be valid for 2 years (.com and .au names). After this period we will send you a renewal notice to keep your domain name.

How does payment work?

(for our small biz package) Just contact us and provide us with your content via email and we will work on a design for you. You then can preview the site on a TEMPORARY webspace (we will email you a link) Then pay if you want the site up live with your own website name.

For other larger projects 50% deposit is required to begin the job.

We will bill you via email, and provide payment options such as credit card, direct bank deposit, check, and paypal.

Do I need an ecommerce site or a regular one?

We realise every business is different, and so your website is created specifically for your business needs. Not every business requires an e-commerce website, it may not be profitable for your business. Even if you have something to sell, e-commerce may not be the best option for you.

Many businesses are successful due to a personal, one to one, "hands on" approach. If this is a category your company falls into, e-commerce may not be a sensible investment of your time and money.

However, if you are selling something that only requires it to be seen or described, e-commerce could be a good option and prove very lucrative. If you have a product that can be easily distributed e-commerce could improve the sales in your business. Imagine that product being sold online throughout the country or even the world, e-commerce could bring you lots of business and become a major part of your business plan.

E-commerce websites allow products to reach potential customers from all over the world (or wherever you're willing to ship). No longer will you be restricted to selling in normal business hours (9am to 5pm), products can be purchased online day or night. Also, an e-commerce website could allow you to reduce the number of employees required, thereby saving you money in wages.

E-commerce is certainly more expensive than setting up a standard website, but the potential benefits can be very rewarding. Web hosting must be handled by a secure server, making online credit card transactions safe.

E-commerce can be very beneficial for the right sites. But it is important to conduct a cost benefit analysis, this will ensure it is right for your business. If your site is intended for advertising or marketing, merely allowing people to learn about your company, it is likely an e-commerce site will not be needed.
